A note on insurance

Like most specialty providers, we do not participate in any insurance plans. Paying out-of-pocket is a great option for people who want maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility. All sliding scale spots are currently full.

We can provide a superbill (receipt of services) monthly for out-of-network reimbursement. Verify with your provider that they reimburse outpatient mental health services.

Getting Started

Everything you need before your first session

  • Before scheduling, we offer a free 15-minute intro call. Here's what to expect:

    • I'll ask you about why you're seeking therapy

    • I'll share a bit about myself and my approach

    • You can ask me any questions I didn't cover

    • We'll discuss rates, insurance, and availability

  • If we both decide we're a good fit, we'll schedule your first therapy appointment. I'll send a couple of quick forms to complete beforehand, plus a video link for virtual sessions.

  • My approach is collaborative, non-judgmental, and relatable โ€” which makes getting started easier. During the first session or two, I'll ask questions to get a better picture of your life journey. We won't dive into the deep end right away. We'll set goals together for what you hope to accomplish.

Sessions & Process

How therapy works in practice

  • For most clients, I suggest once a week for the first 2โ€“3 months to build momentum and rapport. Once we meet initial goals, we may shift to bi-weekly or less. Some clients choose to stay in therapy long-term for ongoing support.

  • Couples therapy starts with one joint session โ€” your history as a couple and long-term goals. If we're a good fit, we'll schedule individual sessions for each person, then we will come back together and its off to the races.

  • Yes. Secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth for clients in Florida, New Jersey, and Georgia. Just as effective as in-person โ€” and often more convenient. Life coaching is available regardless of location.

Insurance & Billing

Understanding your options

  • In some cases, yes. You pay the full session fee at time of appointment. We provide a monthly superbill for you to submit to your insurance provider for potential reimbursement. Billing codes: CPT 90834/90837 (individual) and CPT 90847 (couples).

  • This allows us to offer maximum privacy, confidentiality, and flexibility โ€” customizing your care without insurance restrictions. All sliding scale spots are currently full.

Licensing & Location

Where we can practice

  • For therapy, no. Jacqueline is licensed in Florida, New Jersey, & Georgia. Rachel is licensed in Florida. Life coaching can be done anywhere in the United States.

  • 2348 3rd Street S, Jacksonville Beach, Florida 32250. Telehealth sessions are also available for clients anywhere in Florida, New Jersey or Georgia.

Good Faith Estimate

You have the right to receive a "Good Faith Estimate" explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don't have insurance โ€” or who are not using insurance โ€” an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. For questions or more information, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call 800-985-3059.
